Well that was way more superbly fantastic than I expected. The singer bared an uncanny resemblance to Bryan Ferry, and he moved and sounded exactly like Elvis. His voice was spot on. The band was absolutely wondeful. Drum solos. Piano solos. Full of energy and soul, especially the back up singers. One of whom was a dancer and did a beautiful perfomance to Love Me Tender. She and Elvis later did a dancing duet. Towards what the audience thought was the end of the show, we called for an encore and he re-emerged in that classic white suite and everything rolled along splendidly from there on. They were handing out silk scarfs from the stage so people started to make their way down there, including me. He leaned over to drape the scarf over my neck, embrace me and kiss me on the cheek. Swoon hahah.. It was all just so great. It ended with Burning Love and Suspicious Minds. Definitely one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen. I think they did the king justice. Rock and roll will never die.
Feeling confused, a little sad and down on myself..
Good time to zone out and listen to Nine Inch Nails.
